Meet the Seltzers | Hamptons Moms
How many children do you have? Tell me more about them!

We have 2 girls – Jordan will be 3 in April, and Sasha is almost 5 months.  Jordan is hilarious, funny and sweet and so far LOVES her baby sis.  Who knows what Sasha will grow into but she’s a very happy, smiley baby with some serious cheeks.

Do you live out east year round? If not, where do you live and why do you like it out east?

We will be moving to WHB permanently in May!  Blake’s grandparents have had a place in WHB for a long time so he spent every summer growing up out east (and later working at Dockers and Oaklands!). We started coming out together when we were dating, and now we are creating new memories here with our growing family!  Jordan was 10 weeks old the first time we brought her.  Now at 3 years old, Jordan is a true Hamptons kiddo – she LOVES CMEE, watching the horses at the Hamptons Classic, the playground at Agawam Park, concerts at Wolffer Wine Stand on Friday nights, picking berries & sunflowers on the north fork, bagels and pastries from the Beach Bakery, lobster cobb at Duryea’s… this toddler lives the life!  And Sasha will get to tag along very soon.

Where do you reside out east?

Westhampton Beach

What is your favorite beach in the Hamptons?

We need to explore more of them this summer with the girls before we pick a favorite!  Our go-to is in WHB at the Yardarm, where Blake’s grandparents have a condo

Favorite month to be out east?

September… the sun is less intense than high summer, but the beach days are still warm and beautiful.  Also perfect tennis weather and the tail end of sunflower season (Dalia’s favorite)

Best place to watch a sunset?

Dockers, and very soon… our backyard!

Best place for happy hour?

Dalia was pregnant all of last summer, but before that – Cowfish has great cocktails and always a fun vibe and views

Best place for date night?

So many great ones… most recently, we had a fun time at Bostwick’s for dinner, followed by Big Olaf’s ice cream in Sag Harbor.  Date night almost always includes ice cream or candy from Main Street Sweets. For something more casual we’ll go to John Scott’s.

Favorite restaurant that’s under the radar?

We love Starr Boggs! Beautiful garden, amazing cocktails, and world class food.

What restaurant do you feel is so busy and well known but 100% worth the hype?
hmm probably Cowfish.  Definitely a lot of hype but it never disappoints.  Good food, good drinks, good atmosphere.

Favorite children’s store?

Petit Blue, Bean to Tween and Stella + Ruby always have fun new things for kids.

Favorite women’s clothing store?

I live in dresses all summer (or leggings) and I feel like I can always find something I like at Mint or Mixology

Favorite children’s clothing store?

Oooh that’s tough… a lot of great ones, but I can’t walk into EGG or Pink Chicken without getting something.

Best restaurant for kids out east?

Our kids make it easy, Jordan basically eats what we eat and loves (most) food, but I’ve also found most restaurants are really kid friendly!  From offering crayons to accommodating strollers/high chairs/baby gear, we don’t really feel like we have to limit our restaurant options – we take them everywhere! Some places we take her in Westhampton are Margarita Grill, LT Burger, and the Patio.

Favorite workout in the Hamptons? Other than chasing your kids around!?

We both play tennis, and are open to new tennis partners!  Also hoping to start some beach yoga this summer, and also try Tracy Anderson. Blake likes to take runs on Dune Road.

Hardest part about being a mom?

Disconnecting and giving the kids complete and undivided attention.  We both have full time jobs in addition to launching our brand, so sometimes I have to consciously put my phone away and make sure I’m only thinking about legos with Jordan!  The other tough thing is making time for us as a couple.  You really have to make an effort!  We go on dates, or cook dinner together when we can but time is scarce.

Tell us more about your business, what do you offer?

Moon Breeze Mercantile is a baby apparel brand, focused on organic materials, environmentally friendly inks, and beautifully hand painted, nostalgic prints.  We were gifted every version of a PJ for both of our girls, but none that we felt were truly functional, and we loved the fabric and prints. So we decided to make our own!  We first launched with a ‘hero’ PJ – the one that every new parent needs, and it’s sized from 0-3 months up to 18-24.  We’ll be adding accessories, new silhouettes, and sizing up to 4T later this summer.

Best part about the Hamptons for kids?

There are just so many amazing outdoor experiences for kids of all ages.  Jordan will be going to summer camp this year, but last year we did it all… berry picking, beaches, playgrounds, July 4th parade, animal farm, the lighthouse, Halloween at Hank’s, art fairs, the horse show.  She’s even been to the Parrish museum!  We still have a lot to explore, but we spend as much time outside as we can.  Next on the list is a toddler cooking class at Amber Waves, and checking out LongHouse Reserve

Favorite spot for live music?

omg it’s been way too long… we caught some outdoor concerts at Agawam Park and Wolffer Wine Stand last year, and of course John Scotts. Docker’s usually has a great band on Saturday nights.

Anything you want our readers to know about you or mom related?!

Being working parents to 2 littles is no joke, but we want them to see what it’s like to work hard and put your all into something.  Doesn’t matter if you choose to stay home with your littles, go to an office, start your own business, open a restaurant – the message to them is the same.  They inspired us to start Moon Breeze Mercantile, so we hope we make them proud!
