Born in upstate NY, Emily Knauer moved to NYC in 2013 for her senior year at FIT. After graduating in 2014, she worked in wholesale and marketing in New York but continued to feel unfulfilled. In 2019, she chose to exit the industry, go back to school for child psychology, and build a business doing what she loves… teaching children! Emily created Creativities with EEK by utilizing her 15 years of teaching experience and innate love for educating and enhancing the minds of children across the USA. Creativities offers daily dance lessons, private tutoring, cooking/baking courses, and arts & crafts – virtually and in-person for ages 2+. After becoming fully vaccinated in April, Emily curated in-person dance & crafting pods in NYC & the Hamptons, as well as private lessons. As a child, Emily was involved in a variety of sports and clubs, in addition to competitive dance 6 days per week. With an ongoing interest in art, she was lucky enough to participate in a number of fashion, photography, and advertising courses before entering college. Emily grew up sewing and baking with her mom and has translated those skills to her Creativities classes. Each class is upbeat, encouraging, inclusive, and fun, ensuring your kids learn with a smile.
