Enid: We have a special Valentines Day themed meet a mom this week with Long Island mom Stacey Wohl!
Stacey: Hi my name is Stacey Wohl im a mom of two wonderful autistic children ages 20 and 22 and I own Be(Cause) Lifestyle Boutique with my daughter we purchase lines that give back to women and charities.
Enid: What are some of your favorite things to do on the East End of Long Island?
Stacey: I like Cuposgue. I like La plage in wading River
Enid: what are some favorite spots to grab a bite:
Stacey: i like Grana restaurant Jamesport. Main Road Biscuit for their breakfast also in Jamesport .
Enid: What are some of your favorite Long Island wineries?
Stacey: I love: Sparkling point for Champagne, Bedell – Cabarnet Franc, I also like Ruggerios in Wading River – great wine and Italian Food. My friend Brian use to be the sous chef for Nick and Toni’s I love them.
Enid: What are your favorite spots on the south fork?
Stacey: Ok for South Fork, I like the bakery in West Hampton. Their baked goods and coffee are great. I also love the pool at Sole East in Montauk. And my favorite place in the Hamptons to eat is Dockers for the view and ambience. And Pierres for breakfast their croissants and their Cafe au lait!
I started Cause Café, a French bakery and coffee shop. My previous business to employ my 2 kids with autism. We opened Cause Café with the backing of my parents
It was a French bakery style breakfast and lunch restaurant. We had a big article in the New York Times and opened to lines back in 2016!
Enid: wow how did you know you wanted to start your own business?
Stacey: I started the business After doing coffee packages in my house for the year before which is how it first began then developed into Cause Café it grew to having 15 employees half of them with autism.
Enid: And now you have opened a lifestyle boutique with your autistic daughter and we hope Long Island will come out and shop your great items. You have your ribbon cutting today just in time to unveil Valentine’s Day goodies!
