Meet A Mom – Meet Lulu Keszler | Hamptons Moms

Do you live out east year round?

Yes, my family and I live in Southampton full time. My husband and I grew up out here and always knew that this is where we wanted our own kids to be raised.

Where do you reside out east?

See Above

What is your favorite beach in the Hamptons?

My favorite beach is Little Plains Beach. That’s where I grew up going, not only in the summer, but also in the winter to walk the dogs or just see the ocean. It’s home.

Favorite beach for kids/families?

(If it differs from your fav beach spot otherwise) I love going to Little Plains with my family, as well. But a close second is The Cut. There always seems to be a lot going on there, which the kids love!

Favorite month to be out east?

My favorite month is probably September. The weather is still beautiful, the ocean is at it’s warmest and the crowds have dwindled.

Best place to watch a sunset?

Dockers Restaurant in Hampton Bays. Also a great place to catch 4th of July Fireworks!

Best place for happy hour?

Love going to Rumba or Cowfish that time of day. Always a fun atmosphere and beautiful views of the water.

Best place for date night?

My husband and I love East Hampton Grill. Especially in the winter months. The fireplace is so cozy and the fried oysters are amazing!

Favorite restaurant that’s under the radar?

We love the lunch buffet at SAAZ, the Indian restaurant!

What restaurant do you feel is so busy and well known but 100% worth the hype?

I absolutely love Suki Zuki in Water Mill. It’s usually packed (and they don’t take reservations), but the food is definitely worth the wait. And when I don’t feel like waiting, I get it to go!

Favorite children’s store?

We love Stevenson’s in Southampton! My kids and I could explore in there for hours.

Favorite women’s clothing store?

I’m a sucker for J. Crew.

Favorite children’s clothing store?

I really love the clothing at Egg Baby on Main Street in Southampton.

Best restaurant for kids out east?

Breakfast is Sip n Soda! Their french toast is so yummy. Favorite lunch spot with the kids is Hampton Coffee in Water Mill. Versatile menu, fun atmosphere and very convenient location, no matter where we’re coming from. And our new dinner favorite with the kids in Union Burger. Their burgers are absolutely delicious and kids eat for $5 on Sundays!

Best summer day, what would it look like?

Kids sleep until a (relatively) reasonable time and we all have a big breakfast together, maybe pancakes. After that we would all head to the beach and be there all day. In an ideal world, someone would even bring us lunch. After the beach we would head home and have a bbq at the house with friends. I’m not sure you can tell, but our days seem to revolve around food 🙂

Favorite workout in the Hamptons?

Other than chasing my kids around all day? When I can, I like to workout with my trainer. We usually do it at my house, which is so convenient.

Hardest part about being a mom?

Finding the time to do everything! Between working and taking care of the kids there don’t seem to be enough hours in the day.

Best part about the Hamptons for kids?

I have always loved nature and I spend a lot of time outside with my kids. I think it’s very important for kids to have an understanding of and appreciation for the world around them. The Hamptons has a little bit of everything from beaches to farms, and we love all of it!

Favorite spot for live music?

Easy, Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett.

Anything you want our readers to know about you or mom related?!

For years I have worked as a real estate agent for Douglas Elliman. I love doing it! But once I had kids, I started to think more about the kid community out here, and more specifically what was missing from it. That’s why my husband and I started Innovators Camp (iCamp). It’s a summer camp for kids ages 5-13. Think: Technology meets Art meets Wellness meets Nature. Our summer camp topics range from 3D printing and drones to woodworking and farming. We want our campers to learn new skills while also have fun! This year we even had some off-season programming at the Children’s Museum. Our long term goal is to be a year round space that kids can take advantage of!
