March 16 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 pm
What are those green oval markers all around Port Washington?
Join Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society’s Chris Bain and learn what they’re all about.
Historical Designation Plaques honor notable buildings associated with individuals, businesses, or institutions in our community. The Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society’s vision for the Historic Designation Program is to expand the community of individuals who appreciate and enjoy exploring the interplay between buildings, culture, and history.
The program recognizes buildings that are associated with a noteworthy person, group, or event, those whose design is an example of a particular style or period, or outstanding architecture, those that are home to an individual or group committed to common good of our community as well as places that are a valued part of our cultural, political, economic, or social history
This 35-minute Zoom presentation will be followed by a Q&A.
The program is free. Click here to register for your Zoom link.
